Minichville Creations is a family venture which had its beginnings in 2004 when the family members undertook making a Nativity Scene in honor of Dorothy Minich who passed away in April of that year. She had been active in art and always tried to make Christmas a special holiday. Her family members had no formal art training but found they enjoyed doing this project. The Nativity Scene had 16 life-sized figures and some other figures were included as well. This took almost 2 months to complete. The community was invited to view it and many people expressed their appreciation. The family was hooked and continued on making pieces for Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Fall and Thanksgiving. Many favorable comments were received from these displays, suggesting that the family sell pieces, thus Minichville Creations was born.
