The Hansen Homestead is the modern home of Don and Karen Hansen. The country home has been in Don’s family for 113 years. His family came from Denmark as did many of his neighbors along Dane Road. Being a native, Don knows a lot of local history and Karen’s love is wildlife.

Breakfast on a screened deck features a view of rural Nebraska. You can bet it will be a hearty meal with local specialties! Evening refreshments by the fireplace affords a chance to chat about local sights and happenings. Guests may relax in one of the two suites or a single room, all with private bath. The Four O’Clock Room is a west room that comes to life in the afternoon. As the room radiates with color from the remarkable sunset, you will be able to see the end of the world from this second story. You will rest comfortably in this room in a queen sized bed. The adjoining room has bunk beds. Queen Ann’s Lace is the name of a local wild flower. It’s name reflects the simple beauty and quiet contentment of this northwest room. Adjoining it is a sitting room furnished with a comfortable sleeper.
