News Bulletin Board Community News Bulletin Board - Hemingford Schools Friday morning the WorldStrides Juniors left their Maryland hotel for the last time. They traveled to the Potomac and took a cruise to Mount Vernon. Once there the group broke up and wandered around George Washington’s old estate. After eating lunch at Mount Vernon’s food court the group traveled to Alexandria, Virginia, where they viewed “The Awakening,” a statue erected in a park during an art festival. The juniors then bid farewell to Washington and departed from the Reagan National Airport. After a brief layover in Minneapolis, they flew into Rapid City, and returned home on a Hemingford School bus. [includes/copyright.htm]
