Today the WorldStrides tour group traveled outside of the Washington metropolitan area to visit the Gettysburg Battlefield. After a lengthy tour of the battlefield, the group stopped at McDonald's and went to the Schriver House, a building dedicated to preserving the everyday lifestyle of the Gettysburg residents during the Civil War time period. The group then traveled back into Washington to visit the area surrounding Georgetown University. WorldStrides student Gary Henderson enjoyed the university's bookstore so much that he allowed himself to become separated from the rest of the group. After supper, and Gary's reunion with the group, the bus returned to the hotel in Maryland. [includes/copyright.htm]
