Letters to home from Washington

The Hemingford High School Juniors left at three o'clock Sunday morning on their WorldStrides trip to Washington D.C. After a long ride to Rapid City, South Dakota, the group boarded a Northwest Airlines flight to St. Paul, Minnesota. From St. Paul, the group continued on another flight to Washington D.C. In Washington it was snowing heavily. Because of the weather the group did not go to the Arlington Cemetery but stopped by the American Holocost Museum instead. After the Holocost Museum the group continued to the Iwo Jima Marines Memorial. Then the group had supper and checked in at a Best Western Inn just outside Washington.
