| Hemingford State Speech Team Competitors |
Friday, March 21, 2003, the state qualifiers from the Hemingford Speech team competed at the C2 State Championship held at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. The OID team, consisting of Gary Henderson, Kyle Scott, Amy McKee, Brandy Walker, and Jaimiee Schumacher, preformed well, but failed to break finals by one speaker point. In Extemporaneous speaking, Sean Casey preformed well, breaking finals and bringing a sixth place medal home to Hemingford.
